StoreProtect – Customer Protection Summary

StoreProtect is our customer protection programme. It provides protection for your goods while stored with Drive‑Up Self‑Store against specific insured risks. It is not insurance, but a contractual protection programme linked to your Storage Agreement.

What StoreProtect Covers

StoreProtect provides protection for loss or damage to your stored goods caused by insured events including:
  • Fire, explosion or lightning
  • Storm or flood
  • Theft following forced entry
  • Malicious damage
  • Impact by vehicles
  • Escape of water
  • Other risks listed in your Storage Agreement
Exclusions apply, including (but not limited to) money, jewellery, watches, furs, deeds, securities, perishable goods, and prohibited items.

Your Responsibilities

You must declare the full replacement value of all goods stored. This is the maximum amount payable in the event of a claim. If you under‑declare the value, any claim may be reduced.
You must pack your goods properly and comply with all site rules and prohibited‑goods restrictions.

Making a Claim

If you believe your goods have been lost or damaged, you must notify Drive‑Up Self‑Store immediately.
We will guide you through the claims process and liaise with the protection provider on your behalf.
You must not dispose of damaged items until the claim has been assessed.

Using Your Own Insurance

If you choose to use your own insurance, you must provide a valid policy schedule confirming that:
  • Your goods are covered while stored at our site
  • The policy is in your name
  • The cover level matches the full replacement value
  • The unit and site address are listed
If acceptable proof is not provided, StoreProtect will remain in place.
